Vandals broke into the Akrotek warehouse on Front Street during the weekend and caused an estimated $75,000 damage. According to Orange police, 40 or more boxes of plastic pellets were opened and scattered. Also three forklifts were ridden and damaged.
Police found prints of a bare foot, a dog paw and three sets of shoes in the white powder left after a fire extinguisher was discharged in the warehouse.
Warehouse personnel called police after discovering the damage when arriving for work at 8 in the morning. The warehouse is at 1325 West Front Street.
Police reported the back door was discovered open and a window in the door had been broken.
Three forklifts were missing from inside, but officers found them outside. Two had been buried in mud and the third was left in a water spillway.
