A convenience store clerk Sunday night told Orange police a man broke into his locked car and stole the bank deposit bag when he went back inside the store the turn out the lights.
Police went to the Texas Food Store, 305 Burton Avenue, at 10:50 Sunday. The clerk said when he went back into the store, he saw a man walk from the back to his car. The man had on a blue shirt with a white cloth over his face. The man broke out the front passenger window of the car, reached in, grabbed the money bag, and then left. Police are reviewing the store’s surveillance video.

Orange police made misdemeanor marijuana arrests during the weekend and took five people to the county jail in connection with four different incidents.
On Sunday night at 8:53, police went to the apartments at 4750 Meeks Drive after receiving a noise complaint. Officer Brian Latiolais said the door to the apartment was not shut all the way and he knocked. He could see smoke inside and smelled marijuana.
After a looking around, police found grinders, rollling papers, a digital scale, and glass pipes. The total marijuana found weigned 0.2 ounce. Anything less than four ounces is a Class B misdemeanor.
20-year-old Fred Tyler Brunner of Orange was arrested and taken to jail for misdemeanor possession. A 19-year-old male at the apartment was given a citation for a Class C misdemeanor when he said a glass pipe was his.

Saturday afternoon, a man was arrested for possession of marijuana after a patrol officer spotted his vehicle in a ditch in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 90.
Officer J.L. Goins said the man told her he was looking at his phone when he ran off the road. The officer reported she smelled marijuana and found some in a sandwich bag. She also found some buds in a cup holder. Marcus Alexander Knickerbocker of Orange was arrested for misdemeanor possession and taken to the Orange County Jail.
Also on Saturday afternoon about 5, another officer arrested a man at Interstate 10 and Highway 62 for Class C misdemeanor public intoxication, Class B misdemeanor possession of marijuana and Class A misdemeanor possession of Alprazolan. Officer L.T. Holland reported he went to the site because of a complaint about a man, possibly intoxicated, walking in traffic.
Officer Holland said he stopped the man and found marijuana and three white tablets in a cigarette box. He arrested Christopher Brian Granger of Orange for the misdemeanor charges.

Early Sunday morning, officers stopped a Buick after a patrol officer saw it pull out of a gas station on 16th Street in front of another patrol vehicle.
After following the car for a couple of blocks, Officer N.R. Medina saw someone in the passenger seat throw something brown out the window. The car stopped. Officer Medina kept watched the thrown item until another officer picked it up. It was a wrapper from a Swisher Sweet small cigar with marijuana leaves stuck to it.
The officer reported he arrested 22-year-old Quinton Charles Tezeno Jr. for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a felony for tampering with evidence.
The 23-year-old man driving the car was arrested for misdemeanors of having no driver’s license and failure to have insurance.
