One business on 16th Street was hit by burglars early Sunday while a burglary at another store was unsuccessful.
Orange police report the Lucky Wok, 1803 16th Street, was broken into and items were stolen. The burglary was reported at 7:21 Sunday morning.
Earlier in the morning, police went to a 4:03 a.m. alarm at $25 Optical, 2313 16th Street. Police found a broken ceramic pot spilling dirt and a plant at the bottom of the glass door. Officer J.L. Goins reported it appeared the pot had been thrown at the glass door but did not break it. The alarm was then triggered.
Twenty minutes later, a woman suffered a broken leg during an attempted armed robbery at her house on the opposite side of 16th Street on Lutcher Avenue.
