May 5 Election Day: Where and Who

Saturday is Election Day for city councils, school boards and special districts. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Where do I vote?

Orange County Port District

County Voting Precinct numbers are on voter registration cards

Voting Place 1: West Orange City Hall (County Voting Precincts 11, 12)

Voting Place 2: Salvation Army (County Voting Precincts 8, 14, 15, 13, 24)

Voting Place 3: North Early Learning Center (County Voting Precincts 3, 4, 5)

Voting Place 4: West Orange-Cove Education Service Center, formerly Anderson School. (County Voting Precincts 1, 2)

Voting Place 5: Little Cypress Intermediate School (County Voting Precincts 3, 6, 7, 8, 9)

Voting Place 6: Mauriceville Middle School (County voting Precincts 16, 31, 32)

Precinct 1: Incumbent Keith Wallace and Dr. Travis Miller

Precinct 4: Incumbent John Young

At-Large: Carroll G. Holt, Tim Schossow and Walter James Mullens III (incumbent Jerry Hughes is not running)

Orange City Council

Mayor: Larry Spears Jr. (currently on city council) and Charles Ray Thomas (incumbent Jimmy Sims is not running)

Bridge City City Council

Mayor: Incumbent David Rutledge

Place 2: Incumbent Kirk Roccaforte

Place 4: Incumbent Eric Andrus

Place 6: Incumbent Lucy Fields and Joseph Hannan

Vidor City Council

Ward 2: Incumbent Angela Jordan and Matt Ortega

Ward 6 unexpired term: Jane Hill and Kimberly Powell Stiebig

West Orange-Cove CISD Board

Two at-large positions: Incumbent Roderick Robertson, Kianna Edwards Brooks, and Tricia Stroud. (incumbent John Gray is not running)

Bridge City ISD Board

Place 1: Patty Collins and Paul Zoch (incumbent Marla Zoch is not running)

Place 2: Incumbent Judy Cole

 

Entities canceling elections because of no contested races are Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD, Vidor ISD, City of Pinehurst, City of West Orange Council, and Orange County Drainage District. The Orangefield ISD and Deweyville ISD have board elections in November.

 

KOGT Radio and KOGT.com will have live election coverage after the polls close at 7pm.
