Voting in the Democratic Primary Run-off Election was done Tuesday in four designated locations. The voting locations were the same four locations that were used for early voting: the Orange Public Library; the Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Station; the Public Works Building in Bridge City, and the Raymond Gould Community Center in Vidor. Orange County Elections Administrator Tina Barrow said using just four polling locations was approved by the Orange County Democratic Party and saved about $1500 to do the election. The only race on the ballot in Orange County was the Democratic nominee for governor. Andrew White polled 244 votes in Orange County to 150 for Lupe Valdez. Statewide though Valdez won the runoff over White. She will oppose Republican Greg Abbott for Texas Governor in November.
