People in Orange still doing construction and remodeling after Tropical Storm Harvey will continue to get a break from the city. The Orange City Council has voted to extend a policy for another six months that exempts people repairing Harvey damage from paying building permit fees.
The council also extended the use of trailers in residential neighborhoods. Last September, the council voted to allow RVs and FEMA trailers in residential yards for a year. City ordinances usually prohibit those in yards. The extension will last through February, the date the FEMA has set to remove trailers.
