Early Voting Still Heavy On Day Two

Early voting Tuesday surpassed the numbers on Monday as people took advantage of the extended hours. The Orange County Elections Administration Office reported another 3,014 people voted in person, with 86 more mail-in ballots counted.

The county now has a total of 6,886 early votes with 5,409 in person and 1,477 mail-in.

Yesterday, the box at the Orange Public Library had 1,002 voters, the Bridge City Public Works Building had 729, the Raymond Gould Community Center in Vidor had 904, and the Mauriceville Volunteer Fire Department had 379.

Two-day totals for the boxes are 1,775 for Orange, 1,301 for Bridge City, 1,652 for Vidor, and 681 for Mauriceville.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The West Orange-Cove CISD bond election has a total of 991 votes, with 657 made in person and 334 by mail. Voters for the $25.75 dollar bond issue go to the Orange Public Library.
