Charges Add Up After Arrest

On Saturday, February 2, 2019, at approximately 8:50 PM, Officers of the Vidor Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a Ford Mustang in the 1000 Block of N. Main Street. The vehicle attempted to elude the officer by turning into the BBVA Compass Parking lot in the 800 block of N. Main. When the vehicle turned into the McDonald’s Parking lot in the 800 Block of N. Main the officer activated his emergency lights. The vehicle sped up in the parking lot drove around the building and entered the roadway Southbound on N. Main Street. The officer activated his siren as the Mustang increased speed. The vehicle went Westbound on the Westbound Service Road of IH-10 turning Northbound onto North Archie. The Mustang slowed down and  came to a stop in the 900 N. Archie. Officers exited their patrol unit and began to give the driver of the Mustang instructions to exit his vehicle. The Mustang again accelerated going Southbound on N. Archie.

The Mustang again stopped on N. Archie at Filmore. At this time officers again attempted to get the driver to exit the vehicle. When the driver refused, with the assistance of K-9 Officer Rocky the driver was removed from the vehicle without injury. K-9 Officer Rocky did not bite the suspect but rather made his presence known on scene should the suspect attempt to run or fight officers.

The suspect was identified as: Brandon Aaron Holeman, 39, of Orange County. A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two pistols, one was listed as stolen, and 5.7 grams of Meth.

Holeman was booked into the Orange County Jail on the following charges:

  • Evading Arrest / detention with a motor vehicle
  • Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon
  • Theft of a Firearm
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 21 1 G> 200G

 Holeman was arrested also on December 12, 2018 for Possession of Marijuana, Evading Arrest / Detention, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon ( Sawed off Shotgun) and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
