On April 30, 2019 narcotic officers with the city of Orange made contact with a person in the 1000 blk of 4th St. After a short chase, an officer located Joseph Allen Guidry, 42, hiding under a cover porch. As the officer approached Guidry, he reached for a large hunting type knife. Guidry was restrained and removed from the porch with no injuries. Officers located a large “shard” of a substance believed to be crystal Methamphetamine on his persons. The item weighed approx. 62 grams. Guidry was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and transported to Orange county jail.
