Equipment was stolen from the site of Norman Highway Construction on Womack Road during the weekend. An employee of the company called Orange police Monday morning to report the theft.
Police report the lock and chain around the fence gate had been cut. A 20-foot Big T lowboy trailer worth about $2,000, along with a silver Dixie Chopper worth about $2,500 were missing.
Monday evening, police went to the Oakwood Village Apartments on 37th Street. A resident said when he got home from work he discovered someone had gotten inside and stolen an Xbox, wireless game controller, and a wireless Plantronics Rig gaming headphone set.
