The Texas Department of Transportation says the opening of the Roundbunch bridge has been pushed to the end of October.
Sarah Dupre of TxDOT says that engineers of the project say that some mechanical issues and parts needed is the cause of the latest delay.
The swing bridge that goes over Cow Bayou connecting Bridge City with Chemical Row was scheduled to open in July.
