A man walking along the Interstate 10 feeder road in Vidor Saturday morning was hit by a car. Vidor police chief Rod Carroll said the man apparently suffered a fractured leg.
The accident was reported at 7:47 a.m. on the eastbound feeder road near Lakewood Drive. Carroll said the driver of the vehicle that hit the man was blinded by the rising sun. No citations were issued.
Acadian Ambulance took the victim to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Chief Carroll said the pedestrian was walking with traffic instead of walking facing on-coming traffic.
