After a big construction month in November, building permits in the city of Orange slowed in December.
Residential building led the permits with two new houses going up in the Cypress Bayou addition. The houses are on Hazelwood and Rosewood.
Houses are still being repaired after storm flooding. Three house have permits for Harvey repairs. They on Carpenters Place, Bowling Lane, and Colburn Drive. Also, a house on Hillbrook Drive is being repaired after Imelda.
Three homeowners got permits for new fences. The houses are on Hickory Trails, Edgemont, and Englewood. Garage-shop outbuildings are being built for house on Bob Hall Road and White Oak. Houses getting storage buildings are on Pcific Drive, Hazelwood, and Englewood.
In the commercial category, three permits were issued for electrical structures at Saxon Becnel and Sons on FM 105, Jadco Partners for 3130 16th Street, and the Kilamanjaro Corporation at 7245 Interstate 10.
