Early voting polls open Tuesday and this year will include 12 hours of voting on Saturday. The voting will be for national, state, and county candidates in the Republican and Democratic primaries. Voters may vote in only one party primary. Election Day will be Tuesday, March 3.
Local Orange County races have only Republican candidates except for the county Democratic chair position.
The early voting sites are the Orange Public Library, 220 North Fifth Street in Orange; the Orange County Airport, 2640 Highway 87 South; Orange County Expo Center, 11475-B FM 1442; and Raymond Gould Community Center, 385 Claiborne Street in Vidor.
The hours this week are Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The sites will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. The hours next week, Monday, February 24, through Friday, February 28, will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Registered Orange County voters may go to any of the early sites, but must go to assigned boxes on Election Day. They will need acceptable photographic identification like a valid driver’s license, passport, or concealed handgun license. Student identifications are not accepted.
