Orange police arrested a 41-year-old woman for possession of methamphetamine after making a traffic stop in the 2400 block 16th Street Saturday night.
Officer L.T. Holland reported he stopped a 1992 GMC pickup truck about 7 p.m. Saturday because the temporary license tag in the window was obscured. After stopping the truck, he discovered the tag was registered to a vehicle with a different identification number.
He said he had permission to search the truck. A woman in the truck had two glass pipes with burned ends plus with a baggie of crystal meth in her purse, according to Holland.
He arrested Tracy Lynn Stevenson of Orange for the state jail felony of possession of a controlled substance. He reported she also had an arrest warrant issued through Jefferson County for a driving while intoxicated charge.
