Bridge City firefighters responded to a fire Sunday at 241 Joel Street which is off of West Roundbunch, about 2.5 miles from Texas Ave. The fire was believed to have started in the back of the house. No one was injured.
Friday morning a woman turned on a fan at her home on Ironwood in the Cypress Bayou neighborhood in Little Cypress and left it on as she left the house to run an errand. She returned to find the inside filled with smoke. Firefighters arrived and found a leather couch burning possibly near an outlet where the fan was plugged in. But the investigation was not complete as of Friday.
