At approximately 8:45p.m. Saturday, the Texas Department of Public Safety received a report of a multiple vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Vidor. A 1965 Ford Falcon was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 near Rose City. The right tire came off of the Ford sending the vehicle into a spin. The Ford struck the inside concrete barrier and became disabled in the roadway. The dislodged tire from the Ford struck a 2011 Chrysler passenger vehicle. As the Ford sat disabled in the road, it was rear-ended by a Dodge pickup causing the Ford to catch fire. A fourth vehicle, veered to the right to avoid colliding with the Ford and struck the outside concrete wall. The driver of the Dodge, 32-year-old Dustin Dodge of Beaumont, and his 8-year-old son, were both taken to St. Elizabeth hospital with minor injuries. There were no other reported injuries.
