In the early afternoon, police went to a house in the 2300 block of Pacific Street. A friend of the resident was in the backyard feeding animals and noticed a window had been forced open. An Abbeville, Louisiana, woman escaped injury early Saturday morning when she lost control of her car on Lutcher Drive and it landed on the roof in a ditch. Orange police reported the Nissan Versa was traveling eastbound in the 3200 block of Lutcher Drive about 4 a.m. Saturday.

The car went off into grass on the north side of the roadway. Police said the driver over-corrected and turned sharply to the right. She then lost control and went into a ditch on the south side of the roadway. When the car hit the embankment, it rolled onto the roof and then skidded several feet upside down.

The 32-year-old driver had minor injuries and refused ambulance service. Police cited her for no insurance and failure to stay in a single lane.

A pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint outside a vacant house Monday night. Orange police had a 911 call at 9:47 p.m. to a house in the 900 block of Sholars Avenue. The man from Papa John’s Pizza said he had a delivery to the house. When he got there, a man wearing a ski mask and armed with a pistol came at him and demanded his money. After getting money, the robber left on foot.
