The Orange police station was full of happy faces Friday. Each desk had a yellow ‘Smiley Face’ mug filled with red carnations, thanks to the Teleflora Make Someone Smile Week.
The South Texas Unit of the nationwide florists organization brought 60 of the flower mugs to Orange police to share with everyone from the detectives to the dispatchers, patrol officers and clerks.
Local florist Scott Hasty is on the Teleflora board of directors and led the project to deliver the mugs and flowers. Thursday, West Orange and Pinehurst officers received the smiles and blooms.
