28-year-old Scott Ford of Orange is one of six people who are facing charges in connection with the murder of a Nederland man earlier this year.
The burned and decomposing body of 25-year-old Brandon Robertson, who had been shot, was found on May 27 in rural Tyler County near Fred.
The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Thursday announced charges have been filed against six men. Five are in custody.
Ford is currently in the Jasper County Jail with a bond set at $350,000 for charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Others charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence are 24-year-old Thomas Swafford of Nederland, who is in the Jefferson County Jail with a bond of $350,000; 25-year-old James Pratte of Nederland, who is in the Tyler County Jail with a $450,000 bond; 25-year-old Jacob Arrington of Nederland, who is in the Jefferson County Jail with a bond of $350,000.
38-year-old Jeremy Arrington of Spurger is in the Tyler County Jail on a charge of tampering with physical evidence with a bond of $150,000.
The sixth person has not been arrested.
