The Orange County Sheriff’s Office is trying to piece together what happened at a Vidor area house where two people suffered gunshot wounds early Saturday morning.
According to log records, deputies found out about the disturbance when personnel from St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont notified them at 3:18 a.m. that man had been taken there with a gunshot wound.
Sheriff’s spokeswoman Janois Grizzaffi said a 29-year-old man from Orange was the one who went to the Beaumont hospital for treatment. Also shot at the house on North Tram Road was a 17-year-old boy. She said he was shot in the thigh area but the bullet exited without causing major damage.
She said the disturbance involved five to seven people and they have given different stories about the shooting.
