A man was injured early Wednesday morning when his car ran off Burton Avenue into a ditch. Orange police report 53-year-old Eddie Spikes of Orange had non-incapacitating injuries and was taken by Acadian Ambulance to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur.
Officer J.L. Goins said Spikes had been traveling westbound on Burton at 5:51 a.m. The car left the roadway at 10th Street and ran into the ditch. Spikes was giving a citation for failure to maintain a single lane.
