Two vehicle burglaries were reported in a neighborhood near Memorial Field Thursday morning. In one case, the victim learned of the theft at 5:39 a.m. when she got a text alerts on her phone that her credit card was being used.
She told police that after the texts, she went outside to her pickup truck and discovered her designer purse was missing from the console. The truck had been parked unlocked in her driveway in the 2800 block of Clark Circle.
Another theft was reported from the 2700 block of Holcomb Road nearby along 27th Street. The first victim found her neighbor’s wallet and contents spread out along the road and yard. The resident on Holcomb Road left his Jeep parked unlocked in his driveway. The wallet had been in the console.
Also, a burglary of a residence was reported Thursday morning. The owner of a house in the 1100 block of Hart Avenue called police. The house was vacant and being remodeled. A back window had been damaged to gain entry. A gas generator and a women’s red bicycle had been stolen.
