A 19-year-old man was injured Tuesday morning after a car crashed into his Dodge Charger, sending the Charger into a utility pole.
The collision was about 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Fifth Street and Pine Avenue in the Old Orange Historic District. Orange police report Mark Paul Thibodeaux of Orange was taken by Acadian Ambulance to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Police described his injuries as “non-incapacitating.”
According to police, Thibodeaux was driving the Charger southbound on Fifth Street. 38-year-old Roxanne Cloudy of West Orange was driving a Mazda passenger car eastbound on Pine Avenue.
The Mazda ran a stop sign at the intersection and hit the front of the Charger, which sent the Charger into a utility pole. Police reported the driver of the Mazda was given a ticket.
