A packed Commissioners Courtroom witnessed John Gothia receive his oath of office today as the Orange County Judge. Gothia was sworn in by fellow Bridge City resident Associate Municipal Judge Ida Schossow. The Commissioners Court appointed Gothia on Tuesday to replace Carl Thibodeaux who resigned after four months serving as the interim County Judge. Gothia indicated he plans to seek election to a full term in the March 2020 primary.
