Orange Building Permits For June

MCT Credit Union led the value of building permits issued in the city of Orange during June. The financial business at 5401 16th Street received a permit for $301,500 worth of remodeling.

Two churches were also listed under the commercial permits. Trinity Baptist Church, 1819 16th Street, is spending $15,000 for a roof reconstruction project. Fellowship Church of Christ, 3800 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive is adding a classroom at a cost of $10,000.

The Full Gospel Holy Temple Church 911 Main Avenue, received a permit for $7,205 worth of HVAC work.

For the first time in several months, no permits were issued for new house construction. Three residential remodeling contracts were given for Harvey repairs.

Under the commercial re-roof category, Nick S. Pomonis, MD, got a $9,405 permit for his office at 3306 Ridgemont Drive.

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville school district received a permit for a $17,500 fence at 2300 Allie Payne Road and Ray’s Lawn Care, 212 Border Street, has a fence permit for $2,700.

Two permits were issued for demolitions of houses. The address are 404 44th Street and 2101 Rio Grande.
