No serious injuries were reported in a collision on MacArthur Drive about noon Wednesday. Orange Police Lieutenant Eric Ellison said a woman slowed down to allow a pedestrian to go through at a marked crossing. A pickup truck driving behind her did not slow down and crashed into the back of the car. The driver of the pickup went to the local hospital to be checked.
On Tuesday a 47-year-old man was taken to the local hospital after the car he was driving was hit in the rear by a pickup truck on MacArthur Drive. Orange police report the man was driving a Hyundai passenger car and was inside the turn lane to turn left onto Strickland Drive. The pickup truck, driven by a 19-year-old Nederland man, hit the back of the Hyundai. Acadian Ambulance took the driver of the Hyundai to Baptist Hospital Orange Emergency Room for treatment.
