A teenaged male was arrested Wednesday morning for allegedly assaulting the chief of police for the Bridge City School District and a Bridge City police officer. According to a press release from Bridge City School Superintendent Todd Lintzen a 15-year old male was attempting to enroll in the Bridge City School District at the high school, but was told he could not do so without his parent or guardian and paperwork from his previous school. According to the press release the teenager then became agitated and threatened the administration of the Bridge City School District. He allegedly struck the Bridge City School Police Chief Stephen Brinson before fleeing to the school parking lot where he was confronted by Danny Hodges of the Bridge City Police Department. Hodges and Brinson detained the 15-year old who was taken to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Justice Center. The teenager faces two charges of aggravated assault of a police officer.
