An 18-wheeler rolled onto its side on DuPont Drive Tuesday morning. The Orange Police Department responded to the crash before 9:00 AM in the 1400 block of DuPont Drive.
Officer J. R. Casey with the Orange Police Department said the driver a white male from Orange failed to control the speed of his Freightliner truck pulling a trailer in a curve of the roadway. The truck and trailer flipped over and slid to a stop taking out two poles in the process. Casey indicated the driver was not seriously injured suffering just a few cuts.
Emergency vehicles did arrive and were blocking both lanes of the street waiting for the wrecker service to remove the crashed truck. The contents of the trailer were not believed to be hazardous, but removal of the contents was to be done before the truck and trailer were towed from the scene.
