A man from Orange agreed to spend 25 years in state prison after pleading guilty to the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank in January. 43-year-old James I. Spikes made the plea Friday in the 163rd District Court.
Orange police arrested him soon after the robbery and detectives credited Louisiana State Police assigned to casinos in Lake Charles with helping to find him after the robbery.
Assistant District Attorney Krispen Walker said his punishment was enhanced because he had a previous conviction.
